  1. Understand multi-monitor configurations, and understand how to use proper cable adapters (e.g. HDMI to VGA).
  2. If using in a multi-pc environment, you understand how to connect and configure the PC’s on the network router.
  3. Must be familiar with working with files and folders, and know how to work with security products that may show false positives on files.
  4. You must have a PDF viewer and be comfortable reading PC based documentation.
  5. C:\Flight1 Aviation Technologies must be the default installation path for all our products and cannot be changed.

GA1000 is an analog gauge simulation for the F1 Tech 1000. The gauges are displayed on the PFD and MFD screens (in lieu of the G1000 visuals), and controlled using the existing buttons and knobs on the bezels and audio panel.

 

 

Features

 

GA1000 is a stand-alone software application that runs outside of the flight simulation in its own windows on the F1 Tech 1000 PFD and MFD. It can be run on the same computer as the G1000 Student Simulator software (either on the same machine as Prepar3D or Flight Simulator X, or on a dedicated machine connected to the flight simulation via a network).

 

GA1000 has the fluid movement and resolution you need to hand-fly on instruments. It uses OpenGL (the most widely used and supported graphics application programming interface) to interact with the PC's graphics processing unit (GPU). The result is hardware-accelerated rendering that lets the simulated gauges operate smoothly. The instruments move just as realistically as they look.

 

GA1000 is intended to be used to maintain proficiency flying with conventional gauges in general, not to simulate flying with a specific aircraft’s panel.

 

GA1000 comes with two prearranged instrument panels: one for a single-engine general aviation aircraft, and one for a twin. The two GA1000 panel layouts are designed to work well within the space available on the F1 Tech 1000 PFD and MFD, and are not customizable. For a more customizable analog gauge simulation (that won’t run on the F1 Tech 1000), see our GAPanel product.

The single-engine panel layout includes:

 

  • General: Digital Clock, Whiskey Compass, General Aviation Aircraft Annunciator
    • Flight Instruments: Airspeed-Universal, Attitude Indicator, Altimeter, Turn Coordinator, Directional Gyro, VSI
    • Engine Instruments: Fuel Gauge, EGT/Fuel Flow, Vacuum/Amps, Engine Oil, Tachometer
    • Controls: Light Switches (Beacon, Landing, Taxi, Navigation, Strobe), Start Switch, Battery Master Switch, Left and Right Alternator Switches, Radio Master Switch, Fuel Pump Switch, and an Autopilot.
    • Avionics: COM/NAV1 Radio, COM/NAV2 Radio, VOR1, VOR2, ADF, DME, Transponder, Marker Lights

 

 

The twin-engine panel layout:

 

 

  • Replaces the DG with an HSI
  • Adds a second needle to the tachometer
  • Replaces the VOR1 indicator with a double-needle manifold pressure gauge
  • Has higher default values on the universal airspeed indicator

 

 

Options

 

Five of the instruments are configurable (so that you can enter the exact values used for annunciations and colored arcs):

 

  • Annunciator: Min Volts, Min Vac, Min Fuel, Min Oil Pressure
  • Universal airspeed gauge: VS0, Vs, Vfe, Vno, Vne, Vmca, Vyse
  • Tachometers: Min RPM, Max RPM
  • Altimeter: 3 needles, Millibars

 

 

You can also change the default monochrome instrument panel background to a custom image.

 

Because GA1000 is a stand-alone application that runs outside of Prepar3D or Flight Simulator X, it can be run on a dedicated machine networked with the machine running the flight simulation. This provides the best performance—with no frame rate affect at all on the flight simulation.
